Privacy policy

Diggit is run by Kaden Oseen. This policy covers the Diggit website and the Diggit iOS app.

What we collect

  • A random player ID, created the first time you play. It is stored on your device (browser storage, or the iOS Keychain) and is not linked to your name, email, phone or device identifiers.
  • Your gameplay: the answers and guesses you submit, your scores, depths and the time you played.
  • A display name, only if you choose to set one.
  • Basic server logs (IP address, time, request) kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't do

  • No accounts, passwords, email or phone numbers.
  • No advertising, no ad tracking, and no selling or sharing your data with data brokers.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

How we use it

To run the game: save your progress, score your answers, and show anonymous community stats such as “you beat 74% of players” and the most common answers. Community stats never show other players' IDs.

Who processes it

Our hosting provider (Northflank) stores the data on our behalf. Game facts come from public sources (Wikidata, World Bank); no personal data is sent to them.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep gameplay data while the game runs. You can delete your player and everything linked to it at any time from Profile → Delete my data, on the web or in the app. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app removes the ID from your device, but the gameplay stays on our servers until you delete it or ask us to.

Children

Diggit is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPEDA or CCPA) you can ask to access, correct or delete your data. Email support@playdiggit.app and include your player ID from the Profile page.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
